Welcome to Winding Down, a semi - advanced wolf roleplay. Being advanced, we expect you to be literate (obviously), create interesting and usually lengthy posts, use descriptive words, complete sentences, proper punctuation, capitalization, and correct grammar. Remember, we're realistic roleplayers. Meaning no odd colors, wings, elements, spirits, et cetera. But you knew that already, didn't you? :)

Summer is ablaze in the valley of Elysium and everything in aglow with sunlight. All animals seek shade in the days, but the cool nights are a reprieve. The prey spawned in the spring are still young enough to be hunted easily, and are quite a morsel. The desert is intolerable, and ten minutes away from the oasis could easily give a creature that is unadapted to the land heatstroke. The beaches are lovely as the water is just so for swimming. Elysium could be seen as heaven on earth, but droughts and fires are always a constant threat.

«Eldyn Packlands»
[ ]Arami Plateau
[image]
Tall grass grows abuntantly on top of this plateau. The plain stretches wide near the river. Bison, elk, and deer graze happily here in the grassy region, and that makes it a prime hunting place for the wolves agile and sleek enough to sneak upon the numerous herds. The stretch of land is usually very warm and humid in the summer and is lush in the spring in with wildflowers around the numerous boulders wolves and prey alike use for sunning and shade.

Region Rules: The Arami Plateau is not abundant in flowers and trees. It is very open with tall grasses, and large animals such as elk, deer, and bison are hard to kill. One wolf should not kill an adult.

[ ]Aroki Forest (1 sub-board)

Tall trees and thick undergrowth cover the Aroki forest. Deer, rabbits, voles, and mice are plentiful during warm summer months. The land is very fertile from the waterfall in the east. The Eldyn dens rest in this forest, near the waterfall. Perhaps one of the thickest forests in Elysium, it is easy to get lost here. However, the numerous landmarks such as the huge fallen tree and the waterfall, well trained wolves can feel extremely at home here.

Region Rules: This forest is very thick and it is very easy for newcomers to get lost. Also, not sun sunlight shows through the trees, so it gets quite dark.

[ ]Lynn Plains
[image]

This lush, flat terra is extremely cool and wet, though not without it's beauties. It is one of the lowest areas in the valley and gives a great veiw from the lowlands of Elysium. The whole of the area is covered by lavender bushes, though they are buried by the snow in the winter and in the great thaw, this land is very much like a marsh with all the runoff from the higher lands, though it fades.

Region Rules: There are no rocks in Lynn Plains. Making your wolf lay on a random rock is wrong.

[ ]Coroni Beach
[image]
Coroni is a rocky river bank, though in some places, the rocks fade into grainy, khaki sand. In the Westernmost part of the beach, grass starts to grow untill bushes and weeds start to grow by the Maki Plains. To keep borders in the south, as sand doesn't hold scent, the pack has gathered branches and lined them up as a border marker. Though the river's horizion is far, those with the most acute sight can see across to the nomad beach.

Region Rules: Please keep in mind that this is a riverbank, not an actual ocean beach.

[ ]Minlow Forest (1 sub-board)
Minlow forest is the northern barrier of the Ryprin. The northernmost part of the forest is very marshy from the river. There are many rabbit warrens in this forest. It can be quite mysterious on foggy days, though it can be quite beautiful. The magority of the trees are evergreens, keeping the rain away under it's thick boughs of needles. The Ryprin pack den is located here in the thick of it all.

Region Rules: Please don't make up millions of clearings. There's two large clearings and the rest is basically thick woods.

[ ]Maki Feild
[image]
The Maki Feild, home to many bison and hares, is one of the prime time hunting lands in Ryprin for the pack. It takes the whole pack to take down one of the bison, but the reward is all worth it because one Bison can feed the pack well, but the Bison migrate away in the winter. This feild offers a beautiful veiw of Mount Raz, the highest peak in the Nuka Mountain valley. The grass is nearly shoulder hight on an average wolf, and this beautiful land can sometimes lead to getting lost, though most of the wolves can find their way out. Some boulders rest here and there and are usually landmarks in the nearly endless plains. Two herds of bison live here, each with their own terratories within these plains.

Region Rules: Bison are hard to take down! Please know what you're talking about before trying to take one down. It is not allowed to let a single wolf take down an adult.

[ ]Locke Forest
[image]
The trees here are so tall, they nearly compete with the mountains they're enclosed by. Locke is the oldest and tallest forest in all of Elysium, as most of it's trees are redwoods. Rain hardly ever falls in the understory of this wood, as the many long, tall branches block it all. Due to the lack of rain and low amount of daily sun, only fungi grows on the forest floor. Even in a clearing, which are numerous here, only a few fern can be found. Though the forest is the oldest, it is also the most prone to fire as the ground floor is never moist.

Region Rules: You may not create your own fires.

[ ]Vocan Volcano
[image]
The mighty volcano erected out of the Nuka Mountains has been long dormant, though the occasional mild earthquake is credited to this massive mount. Being carved into the mountains, this mount is one of the tallest peaks in the valley, next to Mount Raz in the East. At its' base are sparse bushes and shrubs, though no trees can grown in the rocky soil. About ten feet up the steepening slope, all plants become desolate. Often the site of traveling hares or admiring wolves, though predator nor prey could ever climb this volcano.

Region Rules:You can't climb this! Do not create your own eruptions or earthquakes. You may only create very, very tiny tremors.

[ ]Riverside Valley
[image]
This shallow riverside valley bares the thinnest part of the river between the hills of the Surami Grassland and the peaks of The Nuka Mountains. One of the best places to hunt for heards of elk or occasional bison. In the Summer, and you can almost always count on a young fawn or two in the Spring months. The valley's walls curve down gently, the slope being at least one hundred yards lower than sea level. It is very prone to dangerous floods, and can get to a point where the river swells nearly halfway up the hill and can be very dangerous.

Region Rules:This is freshwater! The water is not very deep, but the currents can get rather strong. Do not create floods.

[ ]Forac Beach
[image]
The loners' side of Ryprins' Coroni Beach, Forac beach is a much more idyllic place to be in comparison to Coroni. Many gulls laze around here in all seasons and can be seen perched on the few rocks laying around the beach. The sand here is especially white and enjoyable. The shores here barely see driftwood or other washing's due to the flow of the river it borders.

Region Rules: Please keep in mind that this is a riverbank, not an actual ocean beach.

[ ]Hizen Desert (1 sub-board)
Full of sand and dry heat, the Hizen Desert is one of the largest parts of the Loner Lands. Though this place may seem like hell, there is a calm oasis in the center that provides for most the the deserts' wildlife, such as snakes. There are poisonous snakes that reside here and spiny cacti. This is not the place for young if you value their lives. Heatstroke is common here and it is easy to get lost among the numerous dunes.

Region Rules: You may let your wolf be bitten by a snake, poisonous or not. If it is poisonous, keep in mind that for a healthy adult it will not kill them, only distort vision and weaken them temporarily.

[ ]Surami Grassland
[image]
The largest and most plentiful area in Elysium, the Surami Grassland are home to numerous species of prey, like bison, hare, birds, and grazing deer. The most hunted-from area for the loners, you can find almost any of them here at least once due to not only it's beauty but also it's plentifulness in the prey department. There are a few clumps of trees, but other than that only sunning rocks, hills and rabbit warrens.

Region Rules: You may hunt rabbit, bird and weasels alone or invade their nests/burrows. Healthy, adult bison cannot be taken down single-handedly. However deer may be taken alone. There are many rocks, so you may create them freely.

[ ]Lesau Swamp
[image]
This swamp is as wooded as most of the forests in the valley, but with out the solid ground. The water in the thick of it is nearly up to an adult's belly, and the mud on the bottom can suck a paw in easily, though it's not remotely a threat. The rest varies from just wet mud and up. Fish do not swim here, but frogs and - if in season - tadpoles do thrive. The scent is a bit cloying, smelling of decaying wood or musty algae.

Region Rules: Drowning is possible if your character is a pup.
