Summer is ablaze in the valley of Elysium and everything in aglow with sunlight. All animals seek shade in the days, but the cool nights are a reprieve. The prey spawned in the spring are still young enough to be hunted easily, and are quite a morsel. The desert is intolerable, and ten minutes away from the oasis could easily give a creature that is unadapted to the land heatstroke. The beaches are lovely as the water is just so for swimming. Elysium could be seen as heaven on earth, but droughts and fires are always a constant threat.

The rays of the sun, filtered through the overshadowing branches and dappled her back with spots of light. The luminated area on her Lightly-shaded fur showed the vast array of differently-tinged hairs, varying in gleam from a pure white to a dark gray to a rich orange. The sunlight was warm upon her back, and she could feel the warmth penetrating into her body. It was extremely soothing, and both her posture and expression showed it. The wolf was relaxing beneath the trees rolled over on her side, her eyes narrowed in a expression of recently-achieved contentment, showing only a glimpse of pale blue.
And then her stomach rumbled.
Almond-shaped eyes sprang open, revealing the silver ring that wrapped about her dark pupils and gave her eyes their innocent look. "Oh, hush.." Luna whispered, directing her annoyed words towards her belly. With a irritable grunt, she stood up, hoping bleakly that taking the weight of her body off of her empy stomach, the hunger pangs would diminish. It never will, and she knew that. Fortunately, today's hunger wasn't as bad, just annoying. And Luna did the only thing she could do. Ignore it.
Paws shifted beneath her as she began walking, weaving through the trees without much of a purpose. Oh, she knew that she was near the pack den. she had stumbled upon the territory only a day or two ago.Her lips twitched upwards briefly in a grim smile, showing the white tips of her canines. It was ridiculous that, without a pack, she couldn't feed herself at all. Even in the winter, she had been able to scavange the remains of any bits 'n pieces of the animals killed in a hunt. However, in this new place, Luna hadn't been so lucky. The only thing she had eaten in the past two weeks was a partially-decomposed shrew, and she had only been able to keep it in his stomach for a quarter of an hour before vomiting. A look of disgust spasmed across her face as she remembered the burn of bile and the smell of carrion.
Pausing in a small clearing within the center of three trees, Luna studied her situation. It didn't look good at all, and she knew it. The only logical way to solve the problem, however, was to join a pack But, was it worth it, she wondered. Was it worth being apart of a pack just to have a full belly? To be with someone compared to walking day after day alone? As if in response, another growl came from her stomach, and Luna surpressed a sigh. Lowering her lean hindquarters to the ground, the young wolf lifted her gaze to look in the direction of a stream
Another sigh escaped her. she had no idea what to do. She was only a 6 months old...not even a year yet and she was expexted to fend for herself? She was lucky that nothing had attacked her so far. So, for the moment, she chose to do sit and wait awhile to see if anyone else would come across her.

It was nearing sundown, the sun position in late afternoon. A couple more hours and he was done for. Since his meeting with Aelis, Kyros had wandered quite far from the plateau wishing to be gone from that place, that now held a bad memory. It marked the place like a rotten egg in the boiling heat, stinking it up as a warning to Kyros that he should never behave in such ways around his superiors, and the Hunter was to make sure of that. He was walking farther and farther away from the deer, when he suddenly turned around. He rolled his eyes, knowing that his best chance at bringing prey home was to kill that deer he had eyes earlier. Though his mind and heart refused to go back to that place, he made himself knowing that a night full of scolding and a possible demotion was not worth a minute of a hearts relief.
The white wolf bolted off toward his previous position, back to the plateau full of prey. It was an obvious site to hunt but Kyros had been stubborn and refused to stay there. Just as he entered the clearing, he spotted that red on brown he had been waiting for. The deer with the injured leg was still there with her fawn, grazing, the bleeding from it's wound seemed to have stopped. Kyros watched them for a moment before devising a plan. He spotted the buck that nearly killed him about a mile off, warding off a determined coyote. This was his chance! The brute took off and in a few seconds he was hot on the heels of his doe. It's leg reduced it's speed and efficiency by a mile, letting Kyros enough time to decide how to kill it. As he flanked the other side of the doe, and bit at it's other leg, Kyros could feel the fear shaking within it.
It fell to the ground with a loud thud, still not catching the attention of the buck. The lead hunter watched as the doe struggled to get up. Giving it no time, Kyros dived for it's neck and pulled hard. His large jaws ripped open the doe's neck, blood flowing out like water onto the grass. The ground was painted red and the air was scented with the scent of fresh kill. The coyote off in the distance smelled it too, and spotted Kyros . The much larger wolf barked warily to the coyote, making sure that he knew if he was to come close he would surely die. Kyros hoped that this would be enough for his Alphess, seeing as though there wasn't many in his pack to begin with. The doe Kyros had killed, was enough to provide two grown wolves with full stomaches, and enough for maybe four more wolves. Kyros was sure that Aelis would be pleased, and he hoped she would be in a better mood than before.
As the sun sank lower and lower toward the horizon, Kyros made quick time in grabbing the doe by it's neck and dragging it toward the dens. It didn't take him a very long time to reach the outskirts of the dens, but he did have to stop a couple of times, due to his jaws straining. As he dragged the doe into a clearing bordered by three trees, he stopped scenting the small scent of a pup. He looked around and saw a sleek, thin puppy sitting at the edge of the clearing, staring at a stream. Kyros frowned and tilted his head to the side, Why was a pup here by herself ? The brute knew it to be a female and as he came closer his eyes softened. The pup's sleek white fur, along with the grey ares on her pelt, looked so much like Lilliana, Kyros's second born daughter. His heart melted at the site of her, his eyes drooping in sadness. He remembered Lilly's departure from him clearly, she had gone to make something better for herself. Lilly was always Kyros's favorite, spunky and energetic.
"Hello there, little miss." Kyros said gently, his voice soothing. A playful glint was in his eyes, sincere and loving. He meant this pup no harm. Kyros walked around to face her, keeping the doe in his vision in case someone stole it. As he looked at the pup, his breath caught in his throat. The resemblance between this pup and Lilly was extraordinary, that for a few seconds Kyros believed it to be her. As he peered into the pup's orbs he knew this to be false. This pup's eyes were a soft blue, opposing Lilliana's emerald orbs. Kyros held in a sigh as he noticed something not right with the puppy. She seemed weak and she had a confused look on her face. Kyros lowered his head, "Are you alright, little one ?" The brute scanned the puppy who seemed to be very thin, her ribs sticking out just a little. Kyros stood up and walked slowly from her, to show he meant no harm. As he approached the doe, he tore a piece of meat from it's shoulder, just big enough for the puppy to have her full. Kyros walked in front of her again and smiled, meat dangling from his alabaster jaws.
He crouched down, belly to the ground and crawled to the puppy, showing he wouldn't hurt her in case she was wary. He nudged the meat toward her, knowing she would appreciate the gift. He sat up again and watched the pup with kind eyes. "Are you alone ?" he asked, eyes concerned.

Startled, her eyes darted towards this stranger, they locked on a much larger wolf than she was, Luna quickly came out of her day dream and stood up. Not knowing if he came as a friend or not though she stood calm with a welcoming smile. Her tail swayed from side to side slightly when she saw that he wasn’t going to hurt her. Squinting her eyes in the sunlight her vision focused and became stable as her eyes seemed to changed from that calm blue to a darker tint. She saw a wolf with a white pelt such as her own and the scent verified to be a males. Luna's head tilted to one side surprised that she hadn't picked up on this wolf's scent before. Angry with herself for being so careless she shook her head and took a step backwards.
"Oh, hello there." Her words flowed smoothly out of her mouth in a soft tone. This was probably the first time Luna had seen a wolf or even spoken with one in weeks since she had last left her old pack lands. Since she had last seen her brother.. Memories of him made its way back into her mind. The sight of watching him fall over that cliff devastated her. She was so in tune with him, his everyday emotions, his thoughts and feelings. And as she was to him, he was to her. Protecting her since she was a pup. The job that her parents were supposed to be doing but honestly could care less about. You can hardly call them parents that way that they acted.
Only caring about their pack and their own survival. Being the daughter of 2 alphas was hard since they needed a son to carry on the pack...and since Koda was the one for the job they didn’t need her. She was only getting in the way. The only one whom she could trust was her brother. And ever since he died Luna found it very hard to become close to anyone again. She was too afraid to lose them. Or be hurt in that way again. She swore she would try but time after time she ended up losing friends because of the fact that she couldn't open up to them. Her head shook, trying to get rid of the thoughts that persistently tried to haunt her.
Luna tilted her head curiously as her attention came back to the vagabond and listened as he spoke. Honestly she didn’t know how to answer that question. “Not sure.." What else could she say? Weary muscles shifted beneath her smooth fur as she sat back down and leaned against a tree. The wind flowed through her fur making it ripple in short waves and it shook the remaining leaves out from her fur. Her eyes changed back to their soft tint of pale blue as her gaze drifted down to the ground and watched the leaves swirl in short whirlwinds. The clouds and passed against the sun making a short period of dim light hover over the 2 wolves in the clearing. Her head rose to see him walk over to a fawn and tear off a piece of meat. She stood up and let him nudge the meat towards her. Her attitude suddenly lifted and she bounded over to the meat and started chewing down on it happily. “Are you alone?” The pup nodded and continued eating. He tail flipped behind her frame and her ears stood up straight upon her head. She reminded herself to thank him for the food mentally after she was done. "By the way, My name's Luna" She said smiling, her voice back into that playful tone.

Kyros watched the little wolf lunge for the meat, with earnesty and hunger. He laughed as she nodded quickly to his question before returning back to her meal. His expression changed quickly from concerned to happiness. He was glad he had found this little wolf in time to help her in need. He wondered if she was part of the pack. Kyros's white ears switched back from listening to his own to thoughts to hearing her words. Luna.
"What a beautiful name, Luna. It matches those winter blue eyes of yours." He lowered his head to make eye contact with her, attempting to confrim what he had stated. Her orbs were a mysterious shade of blue, and Kyros nodded as he proved himself correct. Time was running out for Kyros as the sun started to edge nearer to the horizon. The lead hunter had an itch to move on but his paternal instincts would not let him leave this puppy, who resembled his daughter. Little did Kyros know that he, himself was being compared to the pup's elder brother. If he had caught on to that little thought, Kyros would have been filled with pride.
Seeing as though he had no idea to what Luna was thinking, Kyros laid himself down and began to make his own introduction. "My name is Kyros. I am part of the Eldyn pack." Kyros made a gesture to the dens, near them. He was sure Aelis was there, carrying on with cleaning out the dens and such. Kyros quickly returned his attention back to Luna, not wanting dwell on what lay ahead for him. His hind legs were splayed out to the side of him while his torso was positioned in a sphinx-like position, facing the pup.
He looked from Luna to the dens, then back to luna. His eyes were patient but he had a curious look on his face that turned into a smirk. "Were you going to join the pack ?" he asked her. "Because I really need someone to help me hunt and do other stuff since it's really boring doing it alone. Do you like to hunt ?" he asked carelessly. Kyros really didn't want to leave this pup out on her own and he would be both relieved and happy if she joined, just so he would know she was safe.

Luna flicked her ears curiously as she finished her fill and From where she was sitting she couldn't see any scars, which meant he wasn't fighting recently, and he had a gentle smile which means that he was no threat to her. Her muscles relaxed knowing that for the while she could let her guard down a bit. "What a beautiful name, Luna. It matches those winter blue eyes of yours." No sign of resistance in his tone. Nor any anger. This of course was hard to find in some wolves. Most would look at you and either keep walking or threaten to hurt you if you didn't leave. Luna's has encountered alot of these type of wolves before and that just only made it harder to trust anyone around here. The pup sat up and shook her fur. “Thanks.”
’Kyros His name echoed in her mind so that she would not forget it. She tilted her head as he began speaking again. “Join a pack..?” She repeated it quietly to herself. She had thought about it but she didn’t really want to because she’s heard about Alpha’s and how strict they can be with ranks. Personally, she wanted to be a hunter. She always found joy and thrill in chasing down prey, even if she hasn’t really hunted with a pack and only by herself with small rodents. She didn't mind walking alone or even sleeping by herself at night constantly watching her surroundings. It didn't really bother her. No one was around to keep nagging her. No one to tell you how to do things or what not to do at this or that time. But...Sometimes she would just long for company. To look up at the stars with. Or play around with. After all, she was still just a young pup. Way to young to be out by herself and yet, Still going through each day with hope that she would eventually find that someone to be with. Finding out life's mysteries was hard to do alone. But then again who said life was always fair?
As if he read her mind he asked her if she wanted to go on a hunt with him. Her eyes seemed to glimmer with excitement but she didn’t jump around like she usually would with family. But she did let out 2 small yips of excitement. “Sure! I would love to go on a hunt!” ‘her tail continued to wag behind her. Luna was always the excited type, even about small things. One of the many things about her personality. She lowered her body into a pounce/play like state and pinned back her ears. “I used to go hunting all the time with my broth-..” She let her sentence trail off and her eyes lowered as her body rose back up. She looked up at Kyros and tilted her head. “You know, You remind me of my brother somewhat” she kind of said this without thinking but caught up in the moment. She lowered her body once again and rolled onto her back. From the attitude, tone and looks he really did remind her of him. Which was probably one of the reason’s why she was much more relaxed around him than other strangers. Her still pink paw pads touched the ground once more and she rolled back over to her other side. She got up shaking herself off and was ready to follow him at anytime. Her instincts of trust basically diminished from her mind but she could care less at the moment.

Kyros laughed happily as she stated her acceptance to his invitation. A blanket of relief swept over him and his insides churned with happiness. The large wolf watched the tiny one become more relaxed and start to play like the pup she was. His orbs scanned her, full belly and the change in her expression when she stopped mid-sentence. He knew what she was about to say, but decided not to pry and accepted the comparison silently.
He bowed his head a little to the young wolf. "Then, you're bother must be an honorable and handsome wolf." Kyros exclaimed, smiling charmingly at Luna, before chuckling, then lowering his head to her seriously. A sincere smile was plastered across Kyros's face. "He's a very lucky wolf to have you as a little sister, as am i for having the pleasure of meeting you." Kyros lifted his head and nodded towards the doe.
"Come on and help me with this doe. I need to get it to the dens at sunset and I'm pretty sure I wont be able to do it alone. Then we will go hunting!" Kyros stated, smiling at Luna. Kyros knew that the pup could do little to help with the much larger doe, but he wanted to make her feel more comfortable and feel like a part of a pack, maybe not this pack but surely the one in his heart. The white brute grasped the deer's neck, good and tight before looking back to see if Luna was ready.
He started to pull, his pads digging into the ground as the doe's body moved. Floating through his mind were thought of doubt and fear that Aelis would be angry with him, but surely she would accept any newcomers due to the lack of members in their pack. He also hoped that Aelis would see just how vulnerable this pup was out by herself. The sun was reaching the horizon, sinking further and further into night. Darkness crept along the far reaches of the Eldyn borders, gaining in land, spreading night throughout their world. His golden brown orbs looked to the heavens, scouting out the stars barely coming out of their day sleep to greet the world. He smiled, and dragged along the body to the dens. It seemed to be empty, and for a few second Kyros doubted Aelis was even there. He barked a few times announcing his prescence.
The large brute dropped the deer's neck to the ground and looked to luna, her silvery pelt resembling his. If he and her had been traveling together and no one knew who they were, loners would;ve have guessed them either to be father and daughter or brother and sister, either one was just fine with Kyros. "Luna, the Alphess is unaware of your prescence." he spoke soflty and gently, but firm like a elder brother would to his younger sister. "You must be respectful, and tell her the truth about everything she asks you. I know you are unsure whether to join this pack, so if you are debating the idea you must let her know. Do you understand ?" Kyros had his head lowered to hers, their meeting to a connection of gold to blue, the feeling kind and protective.

Luna nodded to his statement. True her brother was quite the wolf, one she wouldn’t forget. She looked into his eyes as he lowered his head to her and as he finished speaking she poked her onyx black nose against his playfully. The pup giggled despite his serious tone and bounded towards the doe that he pointed to. "Come on and help me with this doe. I need to get it to the dens at sunset and I'm pretty sure I wont be able to do it alone. Then we will go hunting!" Luna circled as if she were chasing her tail once. “Yay!” Her muzzle lowered to the doe’s leg and clamped down on it. Not able to put her mouth all the way around it she did the best she could to keep a tight grip. Her canine teeth weren’t big or sharp enough yet to dig through the skin but she held firm.
They both started walking towards the den’s, So Luna thought, and she trotted along side him stumbling a couple of times while trying to keep up. She watched the sun set into the distance and ruffled her fur against the cool summer breeze. Nighttime was now surely at the doorstep and her eyes gazed up into the sky. She had always wondered about the stars how how’d they got up there in the first place. She figured when wolves die, they would float up towards the sky and turn into a star. Her gaze came back down as the den site came into view.
Now was the time when the pup started to get nervous. What if she wasn’t accepted? Of what if she was chased away? She saw other wolves do that and she had also seen other wolves kill pup’s for some reason or another. A soft whine escaped her muzzle but was barely audible. She dropped the leg and let her tongue roll out of her mouth to pant a few times before rolling it back in. Harks flattened and rose each time Kyros barked making the sounds echo against the walls and ring in her ears. She turned to him while he spoke. “I understand. I think…” She knew she had to respect the Alpha at all times, that’s the first rule you’re supposed to learn as a pup. Unfortunately…Luna had a tendency to be a bit rebellious at times which can get her into a mess of trouble.
She looked at the walls and walked around the den. White canines showed as a small yawn escaped her jaw. She lowered onto her forepaws and stretched tiredly. She stood up straight and walked over to Kyros nudging her nose against his arm. “Do you think she’ll let me stay?” Her tail stopped swaying and her gaze turned to the floor. She didn’t think she had any doubts about that but she wanted to ask just in case. Her attention turned to a frog right at the entrance of the den and harks went up. She yipped in excitement and chased after it. It didn’t go anywhere but in circles around the entrance of the den so Luna didn’t go far. The pup lowered onto her forepaws a few times and kept leaping after the green slimy thing not really caring, or knowing, that she was basically going in circles. Like it was mentioned before, she finds excitement in the smallest of things.

Entering teh Aroki Forest, Aelis began to slow down into a slow trot when she began to take on the surplus of scents. They were all so new to her nose, she was overcome with the smells. Pine, rabbit, mole, the distant smell of Kyros wafted into her nose. Another odd scent flew in after Kyros'. A wolf, of course, but that was all Aelis could decifer.
Oh no, not this again! Aelis told herself. She had already had an encounter with a strange wolf smell, only to find out it was Kyros, the Eldyn Lead Hunter, but whoever this intruder was, they were with Kyros, Aelis was sure of it. So any Alpha's instinct would be to follow this strange scent, and that is exactly what Aelis did.
Back into a slow sprint, Aelis began to drift her head back and forth, hoping the wolf scent would grow stonger. Luckily, it did. Heading east, Aelis found that their scents grew stronger. This made her more determined to find out who this new mystery wolf was, and she broke out into her full sprint. Twigs and twine snapped as soon as her weight met their fate. Her hair was plastered to her skin, almost as if she was soaking wet. Her overlong tail stuck straight behind her, making her look quite odd having it at such a long measure.
Slowing down, Aelis neared the wolves. Their scents were wild, and she could hear their voices. One was a pup, she knew this because of its high-pitched voice against Kyros' deep voice. the pup looked harmless, and in need of some care. Surley this pup couldn't survive unless it was in a proper pack? Maybe she would join the Eldyn?
“Do you think she’ll let me stay?"
Surley she meant Aelis. Why else would she be in Eldyn terriotory, addressing a female, asking to stay? Of course she would let her stay. Aelis did now have a black heart and leave a helpless pup to fend for itself? The matter of why she was intruding upon Eldyn territory was another question. She probably didn't know, speaking Aelis had just claimed the land, and there were no borders to show loners that this territory was already taken. Maybe the pup didn't want to stay, but then why would she ask Kyros if he thinks Aelis would let her stay? This would be firgured out if she showed herself...
Walking into the small clearing where Kyros and the pup, which was a female, were. She had a friendly smile upon her face and she looked at Kyros, and then the young female. [b]Hello, I am Aelis, the Eldyn Alphess, I see you have met Kyros, the Eldyn Lead Warrior. What brings you here in our lands?"

Kyros lifted his head and watched as Luna started to chase a frog, he smiled reminiscing about the past. The sun had dipped well into the horizon and night was well on it's way, the last rays of sun barely reaching his golden eyes. Stars came out of the, now black, sky. He lowered his large bottom to the dirt floor awaiting his Alpha. There was no sign of her, and Kyros rolled his eyes. Where the hell is she ?, he thought, irritated by her abscence. He yawned a couple times, and was nodding off to sleep when he finally heard her paws on the ground, coming toward them. Kyros lifted himself and shook his fur, lazily. His eyes were drooped and his stomach growled.
Hello, I am Aelis, the Eldyn Alphess, I see you have met Kyros, the Eldyn Lead Warrior.
Kyros cleared his throat and smirked, before interjecting. "Don't you mean Lead Hunter, Alphess ?" Kyros was laughing happily on the inside. How stupid!thought the white brute, hatefully. Didn't she know her own packmembers ? If she was making mistakes now, how would she make it with more than 20 wolves in her pack ? Kyros resisted the urge to snicker. In an attempt to distract himself, he left the two females to converse, draggin the dead doe to the center of the dens, before laying down near his den.

The sun had now set completely leaving the night sky to now take over. Luna had gotten fed up with the frog unable to catch it. She made a low growl and shook her head irritably. She walked away from the entrance of the den and flopped her body down on he floor next to Kyros. She saw him starting to nod off so she walked around him and played with his tail. She was very tired and didn’t know how much longer she could stay awake.
She wanted to go and hunt but if she fell asleep before they went, there would be no convincing her to get back up. Once she was knocked out, that’s it. Her nose twitched and she held her head up high smelling the air. Another wolf was coming. She stood back up on her paws and wagged her tail lazily. The Alphess walked into the den and Luna backed up a bit not taking her gaze off of her. Hello, I am Aelis, the Eldyn Alphess; I see you have met Kyros, the Eldyn Lead Warrior.’Warrior?’ She looked at Kyros and then back to Aelis. From what she saw earlier and understood. She would think of him to be more of a hunter than a warrior… Luna grinned slightly when Kyros corrected her.
This must a fairly new pack for someone to get mixed up. But Luna wiped the grin off her face and held her tongue. She stood up thinking that she had to follow him as he left but she watched him walk off and she looked up at Aelis. She thought about her question. “I was walking around and sortof got lost…” Out of the corner of her eye she spotted the frog again and was tempted to run off to chase it again but she stayed put. She shifted her weight restlessly under her pawpads and flicked her ears.

"Don't you mean Lead Hunter, Alphess ?"
Aelis suddenly felt embarressed. The exhaustion had gotten to her. How could she mistake her own pack members? She was the Alpha, she couldn't be saying their positions incorrectly. "I'm terribbly sorry Kyros." She nodded to their lead hunter. She felt so bad, maybe she wasn't quite cut out for being alpha. She shook those pesimistic thoughts out of her mind.
“I was walking around and sort of got lost…”
Aelis looked toward the young female. [b]"I see. Do you belong to another pack?" If the female did belong to another pack, she would simply ask her to leave. If she didn't, Aelis would ask her if she would be willing to join the Eldyn Pack. She would be a great addition. Being so young, she could be taught needed skills properly. She hoped she would want to join the pack, but that wasn'tt Aelis' choice, it was the youung female's, but certainly this young wolf couldn't survive on her own? She was barley old enough to even think about hunting herself, let alone survive in a forest filled with predetors.
Aelis thought for a moment. [b]"By the way, what if your name?"
OoC;; Sorry it's short, I didn't have much time to do it.
