Welcome to Winding Down, a semi - advanced wolf roleplay. Being advanced, we expect you to be literate (obviously), create interesting and usually lengthy posts, use descriptive words, complete sentences, proper punctuation, capitalization, and correct grammar. Remember, we're realistic roleplayers. Meaning no odd colors, wings, elements, spirits, et cetera. But you knew that already, didn't you? :)
{x} Rules {x} Law of the Pack {x} Accepted Characters {x} Plot
Summer is ablaze in the valley of Elysium and everything in aglow with sunlight. All animals seek shade in the days, but the cool nights are a reprieve. The prey spawned in the spring are still young enough to be hunted easily, and are quite a morsel. The desert is intolerable, and ten minutes away from the oasis could easily give a creature that is unadapted to the land heatstroke. The beaches are lovely as the water is just so for swimming. Elysium could be seen as heaven on earth, but droughts and fires are always a constant threat.

Law of the Pack;; Note that these are not OOC rules, but IC rules that pack members should try to obey. Breaking them is allowed, but they will be delt with by the alphas' discretion. Rank demotion is possible.
The Law of the Pack is a special code taught to pups born in a pack. Consisting of the basic rules of pack life, every pup must learn it. Originally thought up by the Ancients, the code is a basic rule of pack life that every wolf lives by; hopefully...
One. No wolf shall deny another wolf in need, unless said wolf is a war enemy.
Two. No wolf shall eat out-of-turn as a sign of respect. The order is as follows:
Alphas will be given the opportunity to eat first and have time to discuss. Betas will eat next, and immediately go to the alphas to offer any needed assistance when finished. The Lead Hunter and Lead Warrior will eat together, having the opportunity to discuss the hunt or pack news with eachother. The Hunters and Warriors will eat next, and though they are taught respect, the occasional growl is heard. Subordinates will eat now, if they had come. In the off chance that an Omega is brought on a hunt, they can eat what is left as the pack returns home. They are not waited for. Any wolf who had stayed home from the hunt with good reason will be given left-overs saved by the alphas.
Three. Any pups in need will be adopted by the finders of the whelp and raised as a member of said pack.
Four. No creatures other than the glorious wolf are to be accepted as a pack member.
Five. Mutiny is a fate worse than death, do not attempt if you fear a raunchy, bloody death.
Six. In times of need, food will be shared with pups, nursing mothers and sickly wolves with no complaint. It is an honor to help the pack.
Seven. Pups will be subordinates up until their first year where they will be decided as hunters, warriors, or kicked out of the pack as a loner, under the deciding of the Alphas, Betas, and the Lead Hunter and Warrior. The pups' wishes will be taken into consideration, but the last word is from the alpha.
Eight. No wolf shall attempt to have pups until they have been placed as a member of their pack and have permission from the alpha.
Nine. Respect your elders and higher-ups.
Ten. The alphas' word is law. Disobeying it without very good reason will result in punishment.
